Iman is the basic and the most important needs that every man must have. Man needs iman more than any other needs of man. The values of iman are paradise. Without iman, man will be at lost in this world and the hereafter. Man behaves according to their iman and when man has no iman, they will behave as animals. When man behaves as animal, there will be no peace and happiness in this world. When man behaves, as animals in this world man will only be busy with the work of fulfilling men’s material needs and in the hereafter, men will have to enter hellfire.
Allah has ordered us to have iman and the work that we have to do in order to have iman is the first order of Allah. What is the first order of Allah that we have to do in order to obtain iman is the order of conveying the Great Kalimah to the non-Muslim that is I bear witness there is no God except Allah and I bear witness Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. This is the first order of Allah that many Muslims failed to do even from among the learned Muslim. The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w said in the meaning, convey to others even though you only knows one ayat. The first ayat that a person knows when he or she enter Islam is I bear witness there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. The first order to him or her after reciting this Great Kalimah is to convey the Great Kalimah to others who has not recited the Kalimah. Many Muslims since they are born have not even conveyed the Great Kalimah to even one non-Muslim. When we are not conveying the Great Kalimah to others, then we are not fulfilling the right of the Kalimah and although we are reciting the Great Kalimah but we are devoid from getting the two great blessings of the Kalimah. The two great blessings of the Kalimah are having no worry and anxiety and having no calamities whatsoever in this world.
Many Muslims do not realize that the first order of Allah is to convey the Great Kalimah to the non-Muslims and because of this, they have neglected this great order. When Muslims are neglecting this first order of Allah then their iman does not increased. The Great Kalimah is still in their mouth and not in their heart. When the Great Kalimah is, still in their mouth and not in their heart then they are only Muslims by names but not by actions. There are five pillars of Islam and all these pillars are the five most important actions that a Muslim must do in order to attained strong iman. Among the five pillars of Islam, the first pillar is the most important action that a Muslim must do in order to attain strong iman. The first pillar of Islam is to bear witness there is no God except Allah and to bear witness that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. What actions that a Muslim must do in order to comply with this first pillar of Islam? The action that a Muslim must do is to convey this Great Kalimah to others until they are ready to recite the Great Kalimah and we bear witness to their recital of the Great Kalimah. When they are not ready to recite the Great Kalimah, they become the witness of our recital of the Great Kalimah. When we conveyed this Great Kalimah to others and we bear witness to their recital of this Kalimah or they bear witness to our recital of the Kalimah then Allah will make our iman increased.
Conveying the Great Kalimah
Initially when you met non-Muslims you must request for time and you tell him or her that you want to talk to him or her on something very important. When they are ready then you talk to him or her on these guidelines. A man must convey the Great Kalimah only to man and a woman must convey the Great Kalimah only to woman.
Convey the Great Kalimah to others who has not recited the Kalimah
“We are one family and we descended from one forefather and we are created by one God. Our God name is Allah and there is no God except Allah. Allah loves us very much and He wants us to be successful in this world and the hereafter. In order to make us successful Allah has given us religion and if we follow the religion of Allah, we will be successful in this world and the hereafter. In order to invite man to Allah and His religion Allah has sent many Prophets and the last Prophet is Muhammad s.a.w and he has passed away. We come to you as the representatives of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w to invite you to become Muslim. We request you to enter Islam and to bear witness there is no God except Allah and Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah truly, you will be successful. Are you ready to enter Islam?” You may follow these basic guidelines when you are trying to convey the Great Kalimah to the non-Muslims. The wordings in bold italic black color are the most important words that you have to utter in case you do not have much time to talk to him or her.
Our work is only to convey the Great Kalimah
One very important point to remember is our work is only to convey the Great Kalimah and not to make the non-Muslims to recite the Kalimah. We are only to convey and not to make them Muslims. The work of making them Muslims is the work of Allah and not our work. Allah has ordered us only to invite them to recite the Kalimah and to become Muslim but not to force them to become Muslim. Whether they recite or refused to recite the Great Kalimah, we have conveyed the Kalimah thus we have obeyed the order of Allah and Allah is certainly pleased with us. Our intention of conveying the Great Kalimah is only to obey Allah and to please Allah, and not to make the non-Muslims to become Muslim. If they becomes Muslims in our hands we must praised Allah and not to praise ourselves because it is only Allah who gives them hidayah.
Making doa for them
In case we cannot give dakwah to them then we make doa for them. The guidelines of the doa is “…Oh Allah give hidayah to this person and to all the non-Muslims in this world to recite the Great Kalimah, I bear witness there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. Oh Allah forgive all the Muslims and us whether they are alive or has passed away because of our sins of neglecting of the work of conveying the Kalimah. Oh, Allah we admit that there is no God except You and we admit that we have disobeyed You. Oh, Allah forgives us and accepts our repentance and truly, You are most forgiving most merciful…”
It is better while making doa we raised our hands and say amin at the end of the doa. The wordings in bold italic black color are the most important doa to make in case you have very little time to do the doa. In case you want this articles in the form of audio CD please contact Sapti 019-3584497
