13th MALAYSIAN GENERAL ELECTION 2013, THE WAY FORWARD – PART 4

As told by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in his recent political speeches to Malaysians that the aim of Anwar Ibrahim to become UMNO members in 1982 was only to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Tun Dr Mahathir admitted that he was initially deceived by the outward Islamic appearance of Anwar Ibrahim. He also admitted publicly that the outward Islamic appearance of Anwar Ibrahim had made him to believe that Anwar Ibrahim was really a religious person. Tun Dr Mahathir said to Malaysians that initially, he had made a plan to use Anwar Ibrahim for assimilating Islamic values among the UMNO members but on the other hand Anwar Ibrahim was making his plans to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. While Anwar Ibrahim was in UMNO, Anwar Ibrahim used many political strategies in order to kill the political career of his enemies in UMNO and within a very short span of time, Anwar Ibrahim had made the way to become the Deputy President of Umno and the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. In 1998, Tun Dr Mahathir who was at that time the Prime Minister of Malaysia sacked Anwar Ibrahim from the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Tun Dr Mahathir through a special UMNO Executive Members meeting also sacked Anwar Ibrahim from being the members of Umno and Barisan National. When Anwar Ibrahim was sacked from being the members of Umno and Barisan National, Anwar Ibrahim knows that his plan A to become Prime Minister of Malaysia through UMNO had failed and Anwar is now working on plan B to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Who was the first person to visit Anwar Ibrahim when Anwar Ibrahim was sacked by Tun Dr Mahathir as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and the members of UMNO?
The first person who was visiting Anwar Ibrahim in the night after he was sacked by Tun Dr Mahathir as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia was his very close friend, the late Ustaz Fadhil Noor, who was then the President of Pas. Now, Anwar Ibrahim is following his plan B to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. After Anwar was sacked from becoming the members of UMNO, in my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim should join PAS if Anwar Ibrahim is really a person who is fighting for Islam. I still remember in 1977 in one Surau at Jalan Gombak, Kuala Lumpur when Anwar Ibrahim came and told us, who were the Muslims students graduated from Australia that we should support PAS because the constitution of PAS is following the Quran. I was shocked to hear not long after that, Anwar Ibrahim who told us to support PAS was joining UMNO. Since the day when Anwar Ibrahim joined UMNO, I knew that Anwar Ibrahim is a person who is an opportunist, a liar and not a leader. Since that day I never like Anwar Ibrahim to become my leader and I never wish Anwar Ibrahim to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. During the last recent election I have prayed to Allah not to make Anwar Ibrahim the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Many Muslims in the world think Anwar Ibrahim is an Islamic leader but in my opinion he is not even a leader. Since 1997 I was already not convinced that Anwar Ibrahim is a leader or an Islamic leader and in my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim is only an orator and not a leader. In my opinion Anwar Ibrahim is a good orator who can mesmerize the audience into the belief that he is a charismatic leader.
In my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim is not at all a charismatic leader but only a good actor who lies to others and who can make others to believe that he is a charismatic leader. He portraits as if he is working to promote justice and Islam and not as most of the other leaders in the world who only want to have wealth and power. Actually, in my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim is the same as the other leaders of the world who only want to have wealth and power and now to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. The oratorical ability of Anwar Ibrahim in quoting many verses of the Quran in his speeches has made many in Malaysia to believe that Anwar Ibrahim is really working to promote Islam. I completely disagree with those who believe that Anwar Ibrahim is working to promote Islam and justice. I knew, Anwar Ibrahim was the first President of Muslims Youth Association of Malaysia (ABIM) but that does not mean, he is an Islamic leader. In my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim was only using Muslims Youth Association of Malaysia (ABIM) as the platform to enhance his political career. If Anwar Ibrahim is truly an Islamic leader, Anwar Ibrahim should have joined PAS after leaving ABIM and not UMNO. However, Anwar Ibrahim when he had left ABIM he joined UMNO and when he had left UMNO, he formed his own party by the name of Parti Keadilan Rakyat or PKR and not PAS. Anwar Ibrahim understands with Parti Keadilan Rakyat alone, he will not be able to win the general election and to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. In order to win the general election and to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim understands that he must not only become the President of PKR but he must also become the President of Pakatan Rakyat, a party which is established with the cooperation of three parties of PKR, DAP and PAS.
The aim of Anwar Ibrahim to form Pakatan Rakyat is to defeat Barisan National in the Malaysian general election. According to Anwar Ibrahim who is the President of Pakatan Rakyat, if Pakatan Rakyat wins the general election, he will become the first Prime Minister of Malaysia who is not from Barisan National. What is the good quality of Anwar Ibrahim which may help Malaysia to become a peaceful and prosperous nation? Is Anwar Ibrahim a good administrator or a good accountant? In my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim is only an arts graduate from the University of Malaya who knows how to give fiery speeches with the content of the speech are mere lies. In my opinion, with the ability to give fiery speeches with the content of mere lies, Anwar Ibrahim will not help Malaysia to become a peaceful and prosperous nation. According to our former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, Anwar Ibrahim was a bad finance minister, whom during the last financial crisis only knows how to follow the advice of the Americans and the Jews. In the last general election campaign, Anwar Ibrahim was telling the Malaysian that if he becomes the Prime Minister of Malaysia, he will reduce the price of oil, abolish tolls and make education to be free for all Malaysians. In my opinion, what was told by Anwar Ibrahim in his election campaign to the Malaysians is just like the candies given to the children in order for Pakatan Rakyat to wins the general election and it is certainly not the way forward to make Malaysia to become a peaceful and prosperous nation.
I am in the opinion, that Anwar Ibrahim and all the persons who are advising him in Pakatan Rakyat did not know the best way how to establish a politically stable government, how to reduce corruption and how to manage the Malaysia’s economy. I conclude that Anwar Ibrahim is only a good orator but not a good administrator or a good manager and in my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim is similar to Sukarno, Mujibur Rahman and Stalin of Russia, who with their eloquent speeches were able to move the crowd forward, towards achieving a certain goal of the nation, such as the goal to achieve independence but they were not good administrators or good managers who are able to move the nations forward and towards becoming a country with peace and prosperity. In my opinion, in order to lead a country to become a country with political stability and prosperity the country needs a Prime Minister, who is pious, good administrator as well as good manager. Pakatan Rakyat was formed with the aim to defeat Barisan National in the general election. However the aim of Barisan National was not to defeat Pakatan Rakyat in the general election but to form a politically stable government which will be able to help Malaysia to become a peaceful and prosperous nation. Pakatan Rakyat is not a coalition party like Barisan National but Pakatan Rakyat consists of three different parties with three different vision and missions and just willing to cooperate with each other in order to defeat the Barisan National in the general election.
Since Pakatan Rakyat is not a party having a single vision and mission, in my opinion Pakatan Rakyat is not a good political party to rule Malaysia as compared to Barisan National. In my opinion if Pakatan Rakyat wins the general election, Pakatan Rakyat will not be able to establish a stable political government which may lead Malaysia to become peaceful and prosperous nation. In my opinion, as it is now, Malaysia will never be able to have a Democratic country with a two parties system which is similar to the United States of America and Australia. In my opinion, as it is now Malaysia does not have the two parties which are of the same caliber and strength as there are in the United States of America and Australia. The United of American has two parties of the same strength and caliber which are the Republican and the Democrats and therefore in any of the general elections in United State of America the peoples of United State of America will have the choice to either choose the Republican or the Democrats to rule the United State of America. In the United State of America, there are two political parties of the same caliber and strength and the peoples of the United State of America will have the choice of either to vote for Republican or to vote for Democrats. The presence of at least two parties of the same caliber and strength in any democratic country will act as a check and balance system on the performance of each party. We do not have in Malaysia the two political parties of the same caliber and strength as in the United States of America. In Malaysia, the peoples do not have the choice but to vote only for Barisan National because in my opinion, in Malaysia, Barisan National is the only party which has the strength and capability to move Malaysia forward, towards becoming a country with peace and prosperity. Since Barisan National is the only party in Malaysia which is capable of bringing peace and prosperity to Malaysia and because of that, Barisan National had ruled Malaysia for more than 56 years. In my opinion, the only disadvantage of a democratic country with one party system is the members of the party will be greatly infected with corruption, nepotism and cronyism. In my opinion, many Malaysians favor Barisan National than Pakatan Rakyat but now they start to favour Pakatan Rakyat than Barisan National because of the prevalence of the practice of corruption, nepotism and cronyism in Barisan National.
When we look at the trend of the last general election in Malaysia we saw Pakatan Rakyat did very well in all the major cities in Malaysia while Barisan National did not. Barisal National was doing well only in suburban and remote areas of Malaysia. I think most of the voters of Pakatan Rakyat in all the major cities in Malaysia were the Chinese who believe that there will be a regime change after the last general election and the Malays who want Islam and also the Malays who believe Barisan National is the party which practices corruption, nepotism and cronyism. The trend to favour Pakatan Rakyat than Barisan National had started from the time when Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi became the Prime Minister of Malaysia and it continues until today when Dato’ Seri Najib is the Prime Minister of Malaysia. The prevalence practices of corruption, nepotism and cronyism in Barisan National was very clearly visible during the time when Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was seen by the public to favour his son in law, Khairul Jamaluddin while Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak was seen by the public to favour his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur. Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak is seen by the public to follow the advice of his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. In my opinion it is difficult to curtail the practice of corruption, nepotism and cronyism in countries which practices democracy especially with one party system like Malaysia. What are the down side effects of having a democratic country with one party system? The down side effects of having a democratic country with one party system are the practice of corruption, nepotism and cronyism will become rampant within the party and the country, especially if the practices of corruption, nepotism and cronyism are not strictly controlled by an independent body which is able to work without favour and fear.
In my opinion, Pakatan Rakyat is not the good competitor for Barisan National because in the last general election we saw Pakatan Rakyat was able only to wins three states while Barisan National was able to wins eleven states. In the last general election one hundred thirty three parliamentary seats won by Barisan National and only eighty nine parliamentary seats won by Pakatan Rakyat. Anwar Ibrahim had tried to form a party which he thinks will be able to defeat Barisan National. In my opinion Anwar Ibrahim is the only person in Malaysia who for the first time in Malaysian history was able to unite all the three opposition parties in Malaysia. What we all knows in the past, PAS will never be able to work with DAP, a Chinese chauvinists party to the Malays and DAP in the past will never imagine to have a collaboration with PAS, an Islamic conservative party to the Chinese, which is so eager in implementing Hudud laws in Malaysia. In the past, all the Malays in Malaysia would never expect PAS to have any collaboration with DAP because in the past, PAS used to issue the fatwa that a Muslim party is not allowed to have collaboration with non-Muslims party. According to PAS, when any Muslim parties collaborate with non-Muslims parties, the Muslim parties will also become the non-Muslims parties. PAS used to issues the fatwa that to join UMNO is to join a non-Muslims party because UMNO collaborate with MCA and MIC and many other non-Muslims parties
