HUDUD LAWS are so synonymous with PAS especially before PAS form a coalition party with DAP. The party has been propagating the inception of Hudud Laws in Malaysia since the day the party was born. PAS leaders over decades have been championing the inception of Hudud laws in Malaysia. They make fiery lectures on this issue and they accused those who are not supporting or antagonizing their struggle as infidels of kafir. UMNO members and the supporters of UMNO has been the traditional enemies of PAS and the enmity between them sometimes goes to the extent such as they cannot married with each other. In case they have been married, PAS issues a fatwa that the marriage is invalid and has to be remarried using PAS scholar or ustaz. The action gets even more extreme when they will have to divorce either the husband or the wife who is the members of UMNO. PAS leaders particularly Tuan Guru Hadi Awang was very vocal on this issue and because of this especially in the 90’s, PAS members will not pray behind an iman appointed by the government led by UMNO and PAS members will not attend the funeral and marriage ceremony of UMNO members and their supporters. In the states of Terengganu and Kelantan, the enmity between UMNO and PAS even goes to the extent that PAS members will not perform their prayers in mosque built by the government led by UMNO. In those states, PAS members will build their own mosque or surau and PAS members will only attend the mosque and surau only. PAS leaders are so convinced that to become the members of UMNO and to support UMNO in the election will make them become infidels and all infidels will be burnt in the hellfire. The poor illiterate and ignorant Muslims of Kelantan and Terengganu are so naives and sincere. Who can they believes? They have to believe the learned Islamic scholars such as Tuan Guru Haji Hadi who has graduated from the most famous Islamic University of Al-Azhar in Cairo. They believe whatever their learned Muslim scholars tell them. The common Muslims particularly in Kelantan and Terengganu have learned to admire, to respect and to listen to the Ulama from the days they were young. The common Muslims in these states are not to be blamed if they have the wrong understanding about Islam but the person to be blamed are the learned personalities of PAS, particularly Tuan Guru Nik Aziz and Tuan Guru Haji Hadi.
UMNO does not seem to have the Ulama who have the capability to counter the allegation of PAS. When PAS made the allegation that UMNO and their supporters are infidels or kafir, the Ulama in UMNO remain silence or in case they speak out they will be label by the Ulama of PAS as Ulama Dunia or Ulama who works only to gain worldly things. With the tarnish image that the Ulama in UMNO has, they seem to have no power to counter the allegation of PAS. UMNO members particularly the former President of UMNO, Tun Dr Mahathir was very angry with PAS allegation that UMNO members are kafir. Since the image of Tun Dr Mahathir was painted by PAS as worldly person who does not know about Islam, most people particularly PAS members will pay no attention whatever to any comment given by Tun Dr Mahathir towards PAS. When peoples compare the Islamic image of the PAS Ulama and Tun Dr Mahathir, they will rather believe PAS Ulama rather than Tun Dr Mahathir. Many years have passed and the conflict between PAS and UMNO never end. Malays in Malaysia are divided and they were united only once and that was during the time of the late Tun Abdul Razak, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia. The major reasons why Malays are divided are political. Since recent years the division between Malays widen especially with the emergence of the new political party under Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim by the name of PKR. In my opinion, only when there is no political party in Malaysia, the Malays will be united. The conflict between the Malays have drained all our energies that otherwise should be used to make Malaysia an advanced and progressive nation. Malays are the dominant race in Malaysia, the success of this race will become the foundation and the basis of success for Malaysia and similarly the failure of this race will become the catalyst of catastrophe for Malaysia as a nation. Whoever love Malaysia and want to live in peace and harmony in Malaysia must work together toward unity of the Malays.
Since PAS join PKR and DAP, PAS is no longer using the slogan of Hudud Laws in Malaysia as their main slogan. PAS change her strategy by using the slogan of ‘Negara Berkebajikan’. No more Hudud Laws in the speeches of PAS leaders and they are trying to rebrand PAS as a party which take cares about the welfare of all the peoples. In this way, PAS will be able to attract the non-Muslims to be her members. Now many Malays Muslims are convinced that the slogan of Hudud laws is only a political slogan and PAS is not really serious in adopting Hudud laws in Malaysia. Moreover, PAS has joined with DAP who hates Hudud Laws to the core of their heart. No more talks about Hudud laws which PAS has used it as their main slogan for nearly 50 years. Why the sudden change of slogan? Many PAS members believe that it is only a strategy of PAS. PAS has to change the slogan in order to be with the other two parties who have the same intention or niat which is to topple Barisan National. Because the intention of PAS is to topple Barisan National and not to uphold the Laws of Allah in Malaysia, PAS is willing to change its slogan which has been used by PAS for more than five decades. It is clear that the aim of the struggle of PAS is only to topple Barisan National and to have power to rule Malaysia but the naïve and the ignorant Malay Muslims will not be able to understand this. PAS will tell the common naïve Malay Muslims that we need the power to rule Malaysia so that we can establish the Laws of Allah, particularly the Hudud Laws. PAS will tell the common Malays Muslim that we still have our original aim, to establish Hudud Laws but because we want power then we must work together even with the kafir in order to topple UMNO which is the leaders of the government of thagut and batil.

Can we believe that PAS will establish Hudud Laws, once PAS has the power to rule Malaysia? Will the other associates of PAS allow PAS to established Hudud Laws in Malaysia? Do PAS really know how to establish an Islamic state? Do Tuan Guru Haji Hadi and Nik Abdul Aziz know how to establish an Islamic state? Or they only want an Islamic state but they are not sure how to start it. I think PAS only want an Islamic state but they do not know how to start doing it. In case PAS has the power to rule Malaysia, will they start with the implementation of Hudud Laws? If they do, there will be a disaster and chaos in the country. When was the Prophet saw started his dakwah to establish the orders of Allah? What was the first order of Allah he wanted to establish? And what was the second order of Allah he wanted to establish? The first order of Allah that the Prophet saw wanted to establish was not the order of implementing Hudud Laws but to establish the order of whom has recited and accepted the Great Kalimah which in the first of the five pillars of Islam to convey or to deliver the Great Kalimah to those who have not recited the Great Kalimah or we call it dakwah to the none-muslim like his companions had done in Mecca before the second order of Allah revealed during Israk-Mikraj. The second order of Allah that the Prophet saw was asked by Allah to establish was the order of performing the five daily prayers. The orders to establish Hudud Laws came in Medina and it came towards the end of the revelation years. Should all the learned personalities of PAS know about this? Do they know what is the first priority of orders of Allah to be established. They know, but they are not given the correct understanding by Allah on how to implement the orders of Allah the way Allah wants, and the way Allah want is the way of Prophet Muhammad saw. The learned personalities of PAS were not given the understanding of Quran by Allah because they love the worldly materials and they love the power that enables them to rule Malaysia. Because they love worldly things, Allah takes away from their heart the love of Islam. When they do not love Islam, they do not want to do the work of inviting people to good and forbidding peoples from evils the way the Prophet saw did, that is by going to meet the peoples either Muslims or non-Muslims from house to house and from person to person. When they do not want to do the work of the Prophet saw, Allah takes away from them the blessing of the revelation or the understanding of the Quran. When Islamic scholars are contented with only giving lectures in the mosques and in the ijtima, they will be deprived from the correct understanding of the Quran. The Islamic scholars will make interpretation of the Quran by using only their minds and they will not be guided by Allah. When many Islamic scholars make their own interpretation, there will be many groups of Muslims and each group will say that they are on the correct path and the others are on the wrong path. Prophet Muhammad saw said in the approximate meaning, that my Umat is divided into 73 groups and all are deviated except one. When asked by his companions, which is the one that is on the correct path? Prophet saw remarked that the one who is on the correct path is the one who follows my companions and me.
Actually, PAS is not Islam and Islam is not PAS. In reality PAS is a political party with an Islamic image that want to establish an Islamic state but they do not have the correct understanding on how to establish an Islamic state nor they have the qualities of Islamic leadership. In case PAS rule Malaysia and they implement the Hudud Laws, there will chaos and instability in Malaysia similar to what has happened to Afghanistan when Taliban took over to manage the country. I guess many PAS members may not agree with me but it is natural that if anyone blocks his or her mind into something and nothing else, they will not be ready to think of any alternatives.
