ENJOINING GOOD AND FORBIDDING EVIL

Among the twelve missions for Malaysia to become an advanced and progressive nation, the first and foremost is that all Muslims in Malaysia should have the quality of enjoining people to do good and forbidding them from evil. Muslims in Malaysia must be fond to do the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil. Good actions are the essence of success while evil actions are the essence of failure. Allah will grant success or failure to human based on their actions. None can grant success or failure except Allah. Allah does not grant success to those who have wealth but Allah grant success to those who have good actions. Malaysia will become an advanced and progressive nation when the Malaysians become successful citizens. Allah will make all Malaysians successful citizens when they have good actions. A country may have plenty of natural resources such as petroleum and precious metals but when the citizens of that country are evil, the country will never be a modern and advanced nation. Evil actions such as bribery and dishonesty will plunge the whole administration of a country into chaos. The evil actions of people are the real causes of backwardness, poverty and miseries. The abundant natural resources of a country could not become means of changing the destiny of the country. The actions of the people are the means of changing the destiny of a country and her citizens.

A country that wants to change its destiny must change the actions of its people. When the actions of people are good, the destiny of the country will be good. Malaysia will become a modern, advanced and progressive nation when the actions and the behavior of her people are good. The behavior of the Malaysians will be good if their beliefs and mindsets are correct and good. The beliefs and mindsets of Malaysians will be corrected and good when they do the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil. The one who invites to good will become good. The one who invites to evil will become evil. What you speak is what you are. The one who invites people to good will always speak good and correct words. The one who invite people to do evil will always speak evil and wrong words. Therefore, we have to make effort to instill the quality of enjoining good and forbidding evil among the Malaysians if we want Malaysia to become an advanced and progressive nation. What is good and what is evil has to be defined correctly, and the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil needs to be defined and done correctly. Wrong definition and understanding of good and evil will lead to incorrect work of enjoining good and forbidding evil and will lead to incorrect results and wrong destiny.

Good actions should start with acknowledged the existence of only one Creator and Sustainer, who is Allah; and to acknowledge that Allah has sent a messenger, whose name was Muhammad SAW. The Prophet Muhammad has to be obeyed and followed and whoever does that will be successful in this World and in the Hereafter. The good actions that is required after pronouncing the acknowledgement is to do the work that will turn the acknowledgement into belief and thought of the person. Once it has become the person’s belief and thought, the behavior and actions of that person will become good. Good actions of any man or woman begin when he or she has recited the Great Kalimah, the meaning of which is; I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is a messenger of Allah. The reciting of this Great Kalimah is the utmost and most outstanding good action that a person can ever do in his or her whole life. When a person recites this Great Kalimah, even once, all the sins that he or she has ever committed in his or her whole lifetime will be forgiven by Allah and will be changed to good deeds. Reciting this Great Kalimah is the excellent action. Enjoining people to good actions means inviting people to recite the Great Kalimah and to prevent people from evil means to prevent people from refusing to acknowledge that there is no God except Allah and that Prophet Muhammad is a Messenger of Allah.

Inviting people to recite the Great Kalimah is known as the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil. Allah has made this work compulsory to all that have recited the Great Kalimah, there is no God except Allah and Muhammad is a Messenger of Allah. This is the work that has to be revived starting in Malaysia initially and later on in the whole world. Whoever has recited the Great Kalimah in Malaysia has to do the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil. The centre of this noble work is every mosque and surau (small mosque) in Malaysia. The training on how to do the work among those who have recited the Great Kalimah will initially be at Masjid Taman Greenwood, Taman Batu, Gombak, Selangor, and later on at all mosques and surau in Malaysia. All male Muslims in Malaysia will made compulsory to undergo training on the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil for a period of at least one week. The trainers who are Government servants will conduct the training. By the Grace of Allah, the manual on how to do the work for both men and women already been written and will be published. Every adult, men and women, among those who have recited the great Kalimah in Malaysia will receive a copy of the manual. Every adult, men and women who has recited the Great Kalimah in Malaysia, are ordered by the Government of Malaysia to do the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil. Women can do the work among women whenever they can. Men have to attend mosques or surau daily and from there, men will go either alone or in a group of two or three to visit every house in the locality. When meet those who have not recited the Great Kalimah, invite them to recite the Great Kalimah. To those who have recited the Great Kalimah, remind them about the meaning of the Great Kalimah and invite them to obey the orders of Allah starting from the first order that is to do the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil. Then invite them to the second order that is to perform the five compulsory daily prayers with congregation at the mosques for men and for women at home.

The work of enjoining good and forbidding evil has to be done initially within their own locality for a minimum of 45 minutes daily and later on in the whole world. Those who have recited the Great Kalimah and have undergone the training on the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil yet refuse to do the work will be regarded as disobeying the order of the Government and actions will be taken against them. They will be disqualified from government awards and scholarships and will have to pay income tax like the non-Muslims. Those who have recited the Great Kalimah and do the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil for a minimum of 45 minutes daily for a period of four months in their locality will be given merits. Among the merits that will be given to them are; they are eligible to receive government contracts, scholarships and awards and will be exempted from paying income tax. In every mosque and surau there will be government officers who will be working as the Mosque Director, Imam, Bilal, Secretary and clerks who will monitor and control the activities of the mosques or surau and the activities of every person in the locality. Articles on the functions and the activities of a mosque already been written in my previous articles in this blog.

The work of enjoining good and forbidding evil is very important work that all Muslims males and females in Malaysia must do in order to obtain the true beliefs and the correct mindsets. Upon this true beliefs and correct mindsets comes the correct actions and behavior. This is the most important quality that all Muslims in Malaysia must have in order for Malaysia to become an advanced progressive nation. Upon this quality comes all the other good actions and upon the good actions, Malaysia as an advanced and progressive nation will be realized. A way to encourage Muslims in Malaysia to do the work of enjoining good and forbidding evil is by using films and dramas depicting and imparting the importance of this order of Allah. Good and correct words related to these work must continuously conveyed to the Muslims in Malaysia via the internet, the electronic media, the newspapers and the billboards along the highways. Examples of the words that should be use are; “I invite to good I become good”, “I invite to evils I will becomes evils”, “I invite to good Allah pleased with me”, “I invite to good to please Allah”, “I invite to good to obey Allah”, “I invite non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah, I`ll invite them to good. I invite non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah, Allah pleased with me.” The Self-talk therapy treatments on “the Work of the Prophet” shall be play on television channels and radios three times daily and the Muslims will be required to take the treatment. The Self-talk therapy on “the Work of the Prophet” consists of six tracks and each track is 10 minutes long that will be played three times a day; once in the morning, once during lunch break and once in the evening. Every Muslim will be able to take the therapy at specific times daily via the television or radio when the self-talk therapy program is broadcasted.
